Hot Cranberry Punch By NANI1

12 cup cranberry juice
4 cup orange juice
1 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp grated orange peel
12 whole cloves
6 cinnamon sticks

Directions

Place all ingredients in a crock-pot.

Cook on high setting to a boil,about 1 hr, reduce to low and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Strain punch through a seive or cheesecloth to removes spices. Serve warm with a small piece of cinnamon stick in each cup. 


Crock Pot Baked Beans By Feliix

1 quart pea, yellow eye, kidney, wax, or any other sort of dried beans
I personally use yellow eye or jacob cattle
1 pound salt pork
1 onion
3 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons celery salt. personally I use much less
1 teaspoon dry mustard. I sometimes increase this
1 teaspoon pepper -- I decrease this

Method

Soak beans in cold water overnight, then parboil them for 1/2 hour,or until skin cracks when blown upon Put onion in pot, then part of beans, pork near top, more beans, molasses, salt, mustard and pepper Cover with water and bring to boil on high setting checking water occasionally, cook on low setting until desired tenderness, from 3 to 10 hours


Jambalaya By Sandswitch

1 chicken, cut up
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1 carrot peeled and thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoons black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1 ( 14 oz.) oz. can tomatoes, cut up
1 lb. shelled raw shrimp
2 cups cooked rice
1/4 teaspoon paprika
chillies, cayenne pepper or hot sauce to taste

Method

Put everything but rice and shrimp into crockpot on LOW for 4-5 hours. Turn to HIGH . Add shrimp and rice and cook 30-40 minutes or until shrimp are done. Note: A little smoked sausage added to this is very good.



Banana Nut Bread By MissMeko

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
4 small very ripe bananas
(about 2 cups bananas)
3 tablespoons milk
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Method

Cream butter and sugar untill fluffy.Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add bananas and milk Thoroughly mix in flour,soda,and nuts.
Pour into well greased Bread 'n Cake Bake Pan or coffee tin.Cover with bake pan lid or 6 to 8 paper towels.
Bake in covered crock pot on HIGH 2 to 3 hours or until done.

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
4 eggs separated
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup crushed pineapple (unsweetened)
well drained and reserve juice
2/3 cup pineapple juice from drained pineapple
1 1/2 cups raisins
4 ounces mixed candied fruit
4 ounces candied cherries halved
1 cup blanched slivered almonds
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Method

Cream butter and sugar, add yolks of eggs, and beat well.Add dry ingredients alternately with pineapple juice to creamed mixture.Sprinkle flour over raisins and candied fruits to coat.Stir in raisins,candied fruit and crushed pineapple and flavorings, blending thoroughly.Beat egg whites untill stiff but not dry, fold into batter. Pour into greased and floured Bread 'n Cake Bake  pan or a coffee tin. and cover. If using coffee tin be sure to use 6 to 8 paper towels on top. Pour 1/2 cup water into the bottom of the crock pot.Cover and steam the fruitcake for 3 to 5 hours on HIGH. After baking, allow to rest for 10 to 15 minutes in pan before removing. Let cool completely before slicing.To mellow, wrap in plastic wrap and freeze.

Hearty Beef Stew By MissMeko
( old fashioned flavour just like grandma's...thanks to the tapioca!)
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds stew beef cut into 1 inch cubes
5 carrots cut into 1 inch pieces
1 large onion cut into chunks
3 stalks celery cut into slices
 1 can tomatoes ( 1 pound 12 ounces) a large can okay ^^^
1/2 cup quick cooking tapioca
 1 whole clove or 1/2 teaspoon ground clove
2 bay leaves
salt and pepper to taste and any other spices you like eg .  garlic

Method

Trim all fat from the meat.Pour all ingredients in Crock-Pot. Mix thoroughly.Cover and cook on LOW 12 hours  or HIGH  5 to 6 hours This works excellent for wild game meats like Moose or Deer etc.

Crockpot Carmel Apples by Eeor

2 pk Caramels, 14oz each
1/4 c Water
8 med Apples
 

Method

In crockpot, combine caramels and water. Cover and cook on high for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring frequently. Wash and dry apples. Insert stick into stem end of each apple. Turn control on low. Dip apple into hot caramel and turn to coat entire surface. Holding apple above pot, scrape off excess accumulation of caramel from bottom apple. Place on greased wax paper to cool. Chill and serve.

2 garlic cloves chopped
1 29 oz can tomato sauce
1 cup water
1  6oz can tomato paste
1 tsp salt
1 tsp oregano
1 package no cook  Lasgne noodles
4 cups shredded mozarella chesse
1.5 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
2 med onions

Method

Cook Beef, Onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink Then Drain Add the tomato sauce water and paste add salt and oregano and mix well Layer 1/4 meat mixture in 5 quart crockpot place 1/3 of the noodles on top then add 1/3 of the cheeses and repeat ending with the meat mixture cook 4 or 5 hrs on low until noodles are tender.


Crockpot Sugared Pecans & Walnuts

1 pound Pecans or Walnut pieces
1/2 cup Unsalted butter - melted
1/2 cup Powdered sugar
1/4 tsp Allspice - ground
1/8 tsp Cloves - ground
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon - ground

Directions:

Preheat crockpot on high for 15 minutes. In preheated crockpot stir the walnuts (or pecans) and butter until mixed well. Add the powdered sugar, stirring to coat evenly.Cover and slow cook on high for 15 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and slow cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the nuts are coated with a crisp glaze (should be about 2 hours.) Transfer the nuts to a bowl. In another small bowl, combine the spices and sift them over the nuts, stirring to coat evenly. Let cool before serving.

1 lb lean beef or lamb, ground
1/2 cup rice, cooked
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon leaf thyme
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Wash cabbage leaves.Boil 4 cups water. Turn off heat. Soak leaves in water for 5 minutes. Remove, drain and cool.Combine ground meat; rice, salt, pepper, thyme,nutmeg and cinnamon.Place 2 tablespoons meat mixture on each leaf and roll firmly.Stack in electric slow cooker.Combine tomato paste and water; pour over stuffed cabbage. Cover.Cook on low setting for 8-10 hours.

1/4 c Coconut
1/4 c Broken pecans; toast

Toasted coconut; optional

Directions:

In a 3 1/2 qt slow cooker, combine potatoes, sugar, margarine , coconut, pecans and cinnamon.Cover; cook on LOW for 6 to 8 or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.Stir in coconut flavouring and vanilla. Sprinkle with toasted coconut if desired.Serves 4.

2 chopped onions
8 carrots, peeled and cut into 1/2 in. slices
4 celery stalks, sliced
3 cups frozen hash brown potatoes
1 cup frozen corn kernels
1 can slice mushrooms, drained
1 1/2 lbs. skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into 1 in. chunks
2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed
1 cup buttermilk baking mix {Bisquick}
1/3 cup water

Directions:

Turn crockpot on HIGH setting while preparing ingredients. In crockpot, combine onions, carrots, celery, frozen hash browns, corn, mushrooms, chicken, soup, chicken broth, and pepper. Mix well. Cover, reduce heat to LOW setting, and cook  6 hours. Stir in peas.
To make dumplings:
Mix together baking mix and water until well blended. Drop spoonfuls in 5 or 6 mounds on top of chicken mixture. Cover and cook for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook for 15 minutes longer.
